CCI takes home 6 top Crystal Reel Awards

Cape Canaveral, Fla. (August 28, 2008) - Communications Concepts, Inc. (CCI) won six First Place Crystal Reel Awards from the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association (FMPTA). The 19th Annual FMPTA Crystal Reel Awards were held Saturday, August 23 in Plant City, Florida.

CCI won for the following categories, pieces and clients:

1. Best Marketing/Corporate/Infomercial for the "Palm Bay Economic Development" Video
2. Bryan Foster, for Best Editing Marketing/Corporate/Infomercial for the "Palm Bay Economic Development" Video
3. Darren DiPatri for Best Short Script Produced Marketing/Corporate/Infomercial for "Palm Bay Economic Development"
4. Best Documentary for "One Giant Leap"
5. Bryan Foster for Best Editing Documentary for "One Giant Leap"
6. Best Public Affairs Documentary for "First Malaysian in Space"

"It is always so exciting to win an award when you put as many hours as I did into a project like One Giant Leap. It really was a thrill to learn about space history while editing the piece. I'm proud to be associated with the staff that works on so many space projects," said Bryan Foster, senior editor for CCI.

FMPTA is the oldest not-for-profit trade association in the state of Florida. The Crystal Reel Awards annually recognizes Florida films and filmmakers at a dinner and awards program. This year's event was emceed by Tampa area writer and television personality Bill Murphy.
